Born in Akita Prefecture in 2002.
Currently enrolled in the Master’s Program in Intermedia Art at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.
Working primarily with textiles and installation, the artist explores the ways in which external environments—such as light, climate, and everyday habits—influence bodily sensations and perceptions. They regard fabric not only as a metaphor for the body, but also as a medium that records contact with the environment and the accumulation of time.
Drawing on their experience growing up in Akita Prefecture, the artist is interested in the lived experience of winter and life in regional areas, the differences between urban and rural environments, and the crafts and values rooted in particular places. Through acts such as sewing, connecting, covering, and leaving traces on fabric, they seek to visualize the relationship between the individual body and the land and society that surround it.

Her practice centres on text-based works and installations.
She regards fabric both as a metaphor for the body and as a medium that records interactions with the environment and the passage of time, exploring the influence that external factors—such as light, climate and lifestyle—have on physical sensations and perspectives.

佐藤結希乃 Yukino Sato

Born in Tokyo in 2002.
Currently enrolled in the Printmaking Course of the Master’s Program at the Graduate School of Musashino Art University.
With a focus on “observing the very existence of what lies before us,” the artist creates woodblock prints that magnify seemingly ordinary forms. In the process of making the printing blocks, they carve intricate forms little by little with a carving knife, practicing a way of perceiving complex things as they are—in all their complexity.

With the theme of ‘contemplating the very essence of what lies before one’s eyes’, I create woodblock prints that magnify ordinary forms. When carving the blocks, I gradually chisel away at the fine details with a carving tool, thereby practising the art of capturing complex forms in all their complexity.

Focusing on the relationship between place and people, I create three-dimensional works and installations centred on the theme of landscape.
In particular, I am interested in how landscapes that we usually pass by without a second thought can be rediscovered as subjective experiences; I view my installations as devices for this purpose and am researching the nature of the relationship between the act of viewing and the evocation of the landscape that accompanies it.

武井織る子 Oruko Takei

Born in 2005.
Currently studying Textile Arts in the Department of Crafts at Kanazawa College of Art.
Drawn to the craft of creating works that make use of the textures and inherent qualities of materials, the artist specializes in dyeing and explores an original form of expression that combines dyeing with free-motion embroidery. Rather than viewing embroidery simply as a means of depicting something, they regard it as an act of inscribing time and emotion, developing works from the traces left on fabric by the movements and sensations of the body.

Drawn to crafts that bring out the texture and characteristics of materials, I specialised in dyeing. I am currently researching my own unique style that fuses dyeing with free-motion embroidery.
I view embroidery not merely as a means of depicting something, but as an act of imprinting time and emotion; I develop the traces left on the fabric by bodily movements and sensations into my artworks.
